Frequently Asked Questions

How are actions counted in Piwik PRO Analytics Suite?

Actions include anything tracked from your visitors or users, as well as background tasks performed by the platform — page views, downloads, outlinks, searches, custom events, goals, Tag Manager container loads, Consent Manager window loads, line item uploads, and API requests.

How will I know how many actions I’ve used?

Log in to your account, open the menu, and go to Administration > Account > Subscription to see an overview of how many actions you’ve used.

What do you mean by “domain(s)”?

A domain refers to your root domain — the main part of your website address, without subdomains or specific pages. For example, the root domain of www.example.com/en is example.com, which is what you add to the Consent Management Platform. Your root domains determine your pricing tier.

Are there any Piwik PRO representatives in my country/region?

Most likely, yes. Even if we don’t have an office in your region, we may have nearby business partners who can support you.

Does Piwik PRO sign a business associate agreement (BAA)?

Piwik PRO signs a BAA during the free trial period and on the Enterprise plan, making it a suitable option for organizations that must comply with HIPAA.

What security measures does Piwik PRO employ?

ISO 27001 certification, SOC 2 Type II certification, regular external security audits, granular access permissions, a 99% SLA uptime guarantee, and secure hosting options.

How does the free trial work?

You register, verify your email, set a password, and follow a short guided onboarding flow. The free trial lasts 30 days, and you can upgrade to a paying Business account at any time during your trial.

Do I need to provide credit card details to start?

No, you don’t need to provide credit card details to start your Business plan trial. To continue using the Business plan after the trial, you’ll need to add credit card details before it ends.

What happens after the free trial ends?

If you don’t upgrade within 30 days, your account will be deactivated — but you’ll still have 7 more days to upgrade. After that, your account and data will be permanently deleted.

Can I change to a different plan at a later point?

Yes, but not during your current subscription period. Plan changes take effect at your next billing cycle renewal, whether that’s monthly or yearly — reach out to our team for details on timing and cost.

What happens if I exceed my limits for actions and/or domains?

If you go over the limits in your plan, we’ll charge an overage fee based on your pricing plan, calculated and invoiced at the end of each billing cycle. Frequent, significant overages may trigger an automatic plan upgrade.

What if I keep using the service after going over my limits?

If you continue using the service after exceeding your limits, we’ll consider that acceptance of the overage fees or the upgraded plan. Either way, you’ll be billed accordingly.

Can the pricing change?

Yes, subscription fees may change over time. Prices are automatically adjusted by 4% every year on your subscription anniversary. We may also update pricing at other times, but we’ll always give at least 30 days’ notice.

How is my subscription billed?

Your subscription is billed in advance, either monthly or yearly for credit card payments, or annually for bank transfers. Bank transfer payments are due within 30 days.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit cards and bank transfers (yearly billing only). We cover credit card transaction fees; any bank transfer costs are the customer’s responsibility.
