How are actions counted in Piwik PRO Analytics Suite?
Actions in Piwik PRO Analytics Suite include visitors (or users of your product or app) doing something that is tracked, as well as background tasks performed by the platform.
The most common examples of actions are the following:
- Page view: a visitor visits a page
- Download: a visitor downloads a file
- Outlink: a visitor clicks the link to an external website
- Search: a visitor uses your internal search engine
- Custom event: a visitor performs a custom event
- Goal: a visitor completes a goal
- Loading a tag manager container
- Loading a consent manager window
- Uploading a line item
- Sending an API request

How will I know how many actions I’ve used?
Log in to your account, open the menu, and navigate to Administration > Account > Subscription to get an overview of how many actions you’ve used.
What do you mean by “domain(s)”?
When we talk about “domain(s)” in our pricing, we mean root domains.
A root domain is the main part of your website address. It doesn’t include any subdomains (like “www.” or “blog.”) or specific pages. For example, if your website is at http://www.example.com/en, the root domain is example.com.
This is the domain you add to the Cookie Information Consent Management Platform (CMP). The number of root domains you add determines your price.
What happens if I exceed the free 500,000 limit of monthly actions on the Piwik PRO Core plan?
Important: The Core plan will remain available only until December 2025.
If you approach the free action limit of the Core plan, you’ll have three options:
- Send fewer hits to your instance (e.g. unplug some domains or track fewer events).
- Choose an additional action limit of up to 5M and unlock the benefits, such as 25-month data retention, single sign-on (SSO), and more.
- Upgrade to the Piwik PRO Enterprise plan.
How is the price of Piwik PRO Analytics Suite calculated for the Enterprise plan?
The price of Piwik PRO Analytics Suite depends on many factors, including:
- The number of modules
- Your monthly limit of actions
- Your preferred hosting option
- Your chosen SLA package

I have bought extra actions for Piwik PRO Core. How can I manage or cancel my subscription?
Important: The Core plan will remain available only until December 2025.
You can cancel or modify your subscription at paddle.net, our official payment system provider’s website. Verify your email address and follow the instructions provided by the platform. Once your subscription is canceled or modified, you’ll receive a confirmation from Paddle on our behalf. Note that all annual and monthly subscriptions renew automatically. To change your monthly subscription to an annual one (or the other way around), contact us.
Are there any Piwik PRO representatives in my country/region?
Most likely – yes. Even if we don’t have an office in your region, we may have nearby business partners who can support you at each step of your journey with Piwik PRO Analytics Suite. To get more information, check our partner directory.
Does Piwik PRO sign a business associate agreement (BAA)?

How does the free trial work?
You start the trial by filling out the registration form at the top of this page.
You’ll get a confirmation email – just click the link to verify your account and set your password. After that, you can log in and follow a short guided onboarding to help you set up your account.
The free trial lasts 30 days, and you have the option to upgrade to a paying Business account at any time during your trial.
Do I need to provide credit card details to start?
No, you don’t need to provide credit card details to start your Business plan trial.
However, to continue using the Business plan outside of the trial period, you will need to provide credit card details before your trial ends.
What happens after the free trial ends?
As the end of your trial approaches, we’ll remind you to make a decision. If you haven’t upgraded by the end of the 30 days, your account will be deactivated – but you’ll still have 7 more days to upgrade.
After that, your account and data will be permanently deleted.
Can I change to a different plan at a later point?
Yes, but not during your current subscription period. You can switch plans when your billing cycle ends – whether that’s monthly or yearly. For example, if you’re on an annual plan, you can choose a different plan when it’s time to renew, but not in the middle of the year.

What happens if I exceed my limits for actions and/or domains?
If you go over the limits in your plan, we’ll charge an overage fee based on your pricing plan. We calculate and invoice overages at the end of each billing cycle.
If the overages are frequent or significant, your subscription may be automatically upgraded to a higher plan that better fits your usage.
What if I keep using the service after going over my limits?
If you continue using the service after exceeding your limits, we’ll consider that as acceptance of the overage fees or the upgraded plan. Either way, you’ll be billed accordingly.
You can always check your usage and plan details in your account.
Can the pricing change?
Yes, subscription fees may change over time.
- Prices are automatically adjusted by 4% every year on your subscription anniversary.
- We may also update our pricing at other times; however, we’ll always provide you with at least 30 days’ notice.
- If you add new domains or apps during your current billing period, we’ll charge you a pro-rated amount for the rest of the term. After that, they’ll be part of your regular subscription.
Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 30 days before the end of the current term.
How is my subscription billed?
Your subscription is billed in advance, either monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you select.
- If you pay by credit card, you can choose monthly or yearly billing.
- If you pay by bank transfer, yearly billing is required.
You’ll need to provide up-to-date payment details when you sign up. We’ll charge your card or send an invoice once your subscription is active.
For bank transfers, payment is due within 30 days. You can update your payment details at any time through the platform or by contacting us.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit card (default option)
- Bank transfer (yearly billing only, available upon request)
We cover all transaction fees for credit card payments. For bank transfers, you’ll need to cover any transaction costs.
