Database Engineer

You will join an experienced team of backend and frontend developers, QA engineers, designers and a product manager with the history of successfully delivering scalable products on demanding environments

We are now working on a R&D project that brings additional value to the analytics engine and boosts its capabilities (healthy balance between R and D :)).

We work closely with customers to get their feedback and make sure that we’re iteratively building a product that they are waiting for.

Job characteristics:

  • Develop architectural designs for advanced data processing systems capable of seamlessly managing and processing vast amounts of data.
  • Utilize your proficiency in data modeling, database query and schema optimization to improve the application performance.
  • Contribute in the implementation of microservices using Rust, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Participate in our “Sharpen the Saw” program, engaging in self-directed projects to explore and integrate new technologies, contributing to your continuous professional growth.
  • Drive the exploration of potential solutions through meticulous Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and technical validations, offering essential input for strategic decision-making.

What skills you need:

  • Data modeling, database query and schema optimization
  • In-depth knowledge of database engines (ScyllaDB, Cassandra)
  • Min. 4 years of commercial experience in backend programming in any programming language
  • Working with Linux, Docker, Git
  • Genuine interest in learning and mastering Rust as part of your professional growth
  • Ability to communicate in Polish (B2) and English (B1+)

Additional points for:

  • Familiarity with Clickhouse and MySQL
  • Designing, developing and maintaining scalable distributed systems
  • Knowing Rust programming language
  • Stream processing tools (RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, etc.)
  • Monitoring solutions like Prometheus and Grafana
  • Knowledge of inner-workings of Linux kernel, as well as monitoring and diagnostics tools
  • Web analytics and CDP
  • Writing integrations with external systems
  • Applying security best practices in day-to-day work
