A custom dimension is an extra dimension you create to gather more data than you’d do with a default setup. It is an easy way to access advanced reports. Piwik PRO allows you to set up to 200 session dimensions, 200 event dimensions, and 20 product dimensions.

Custom dimension reports are displayed separately for each Dimension , and they are more informative than those given by a custom variable.
